Cameras have been cranking for a month or so now on the amusingly-titled action comedy ‘Jason Statham Stole my Bike.’ It stars, you’ll no doubt be shocked to learn, Jason Statham.
Director David Leitch, reuniting with the British actor following their collaboration on ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,’ is adding to the ensemble.

Budget: $80,000,000
Deadline reports that the filmmaker has tapped someone else he has form working with –– Hannah Waddingham, who appeared in ‘The Fall Guy’ –– to join the cast.

What’s the story of ‘Jason Statham Stole my Bike’?

If ever there were a self-explanatory title, it’s this one. But the wider plot beyond that comedic concept has yet to be divulged.
The only official detail promises we’ll see Statham “in the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar Jason Statham.” The big-budget project is said to include a number of action set pieces and is being conceived as a PG-13 with tongue firmly in cheek.
Alison Flierl (‘BoJack Horseman’) wrote the screenplay based on a story by she worked on with and Scott Chernoff (‘The Desk’).

Waddingham is back on our screens now in another blend of action and comedy, Prime Video series ‘Ride or Die.’
And ‘Ted Lasso’ fans won’t have long to wait for her return to that show, as the much-anticipated (if unexpected) fourth season launches on August 5 via Apple TV.
