FIFA President Gianni Infantino will attend the opening game of the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Katowice in Poland on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Polish Football Association confirmed Infantino would be at the opening game where close to 15,000 people are expected to attend the first two matches.
It will be an important tournament in women’s football with several players looking to make an impact and hoping to feature at the Women’s World Cup in Brazil next year.

Poland faces Argentina and Mexico plays Benin on the opening day.
This is the first FIFA tournament since Infantino abandoned his plan to sell a stake in World Cup after facing a fierce backlash from regional governing football bodies including UEFA.
