Bangladesh exited the AFC Under-20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers after losing 0-3 to India in their final qualifier in Tashkent on Sunday.

This was the Bengal Tigers’ third loss on the trot in this qualifying campaign after they had suffered defeats to Uzbekistan (0-2) and Syria (0-3).

Bottom-placed Bangladesh was relegated to the Development Phase after losing all three games.

In this edition of the Development Phase, 12 teams were divided into three groups of four, with the three group winners and the three second-placed teams of each group getting promoted to the Qualification Phase of the next edition.

The last time Bangladesh had played in the U-20 Asian Cup was back in 2002, when it bowed out in the group stage.
