P.V. Sindhu lost to Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon in the quarterfinals of the Arctic Open in Vantaa, Finland.
The 31-year-old slumped to a 11-21, 21-19, 18-21 defeat stretching Intanon’s superior head-to-head record to 11-4. The two had previously met in the Indonesia Masters in 2022, where the Thai shuttler had won 21-12, 21-10.
Sindhu won the Japan Open in July but had a tough outing in the Asian Games, crashing out in the quarterfinals after having less than ideal recovery time.
