The sanction on Pakistan was imposed by match referee Jeff Crowe under Article 2.22 of the ICC’s code of conduct for players and player support personnel, which deals with minimum-over-rate offences. Players are fined 5% of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl within the allotted time. Teams also lose one WTC point for each over they fail to bowl in time.
Australia are leading the WTC table, their seven wins in eight Tests so far giving them 87.50% points. They are followed by New Zealand (77.78%), defending champions South Africa (75.00%), Sri Lanka (66.67%), and India (48.15%).
