East Bengal becomes holder of both men’s and women’s top-tier titles with ISL, IWL crowns


East Bengal concluded a 22-year wait for men’s top-flight glory after it clinched its maiden Indian Super League title on Thursday.

The last time the Red and Gold Brigade had tasted silverware in men’s top-flight football was during the 2003-2004 season when they won the National Football League.

Oscar Bruzon-coached East Bengal came back from a goal down to beat Inter Kashi 2-1 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan.

Moreover, this ISL triumph only adds to the club’s achievement’s after the East Bengal women’s team successfully defended its Indian Women’s League title.

The Anthony Andrews-coached Moshal Girls retained its tile with two rounds to spare, ending the 2025-26 season with 39 points, losing just once in their campaign.
