PATNA: Bihar Congress spokesperson Kuntal Krishna on Saturday sent his resignation to party president Mallikarjun Kharge, expressing grief over the way his party had surrendered to CM Nitish Kumar.
Krishna alleged that Congress was not given proper share in the alliance and issues raised by them were ignored in the Bihar government.
“Nitish had been a staunch opponent of Congress and now he is imposing himself as leader of opposition parties. A person who hardly has any strength in Parliament is set to preside over the non-BJP meet on June 23,” he told TOI.
“The two cabinet berths given to us are the ones which are given as an additional charge,” he added. Kuntal stated, “Nitish has become our leader in Bihar because of Congress’s political surrender to him.”
