Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal moves SC; seeks 7-day extension of interim bail

NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court, seeking an extension of his interim bail by 7 days on heath grounds.
The Aam Aadmi Party said that Kejriwal was due to undergo PET-CT scan and other tests, as a result of which a seven day extension of interim bail has been requested.
On May 10, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted an interim bail by the Supreme Court for election campaigning.
The chief minister, who is out on bail, has been campaigning for AAP as well as the INDIA alliance. Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case.
