MEERUT: Owners of the cold storage, which collapsed two days ago resulting in the deaths of 14 workers, have been arrested in Sambhal, UP on Saturday.
DIG Moradabad, Shalabh Mathur, told TOI: “Several teams were sent into different directions on the basis of inputs provided by the accused’s associates who were detained for questioning. Eventually Ankur Agarwal and Rohit Agarwal were arrested. ”
CM Yogi Adityanath has set up a committee to probe the reasons behind the collapse and the state has announced ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for those crtitical and free treatment for all who suffered injuries in the incident.
