Recalling the movie’s premiere, the 58-year-old in an interview to Indian Express said initially, people had started walking out of the movie’s songs, leaving the director perplexed and dumbfounded. He further added, that according to him, he had made a great film, so he could not decipher what was happening with the audience and why they were walking out. However, not one to lose patience, Sooraj kept his cool and soon, families started walking in the theatres. The rest they say is history.
Sooraj Barjatya’s recent movie Uunchai has been performing steadily at the Box Office. The survival drama is about a group of friends in their 60s who decide to travel to the Everest Base camp to honour their deceased friend. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta and Sarika in key roles.
