NEW DELHI: After watching wicket-keeper Kona Srikar Bharat sweating it out behind the wickets mainly practicing for spin bowlers, one can easily gauge how the pitch is going to behave in the third India-Australia Test starting at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Wednesday.
In a video posted on Twitter by the BCCI on Tuesday, it is quite evident that the Indore track will be a rank turner.

Bharat, who was impressive behind the stumps in the first two Tests, was seen doing different drills to tackle India’s high quality spinners R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.
The coaching staff made him practice low bounce, turning and faster deliveries which can fox not only the batters but also the wicket-keeper standing behind. And in a way it will also help him to pluck fast and faint edges coming on to him.

Bharat also played a nice cameo in India’s chase of 115 in the Delhi Test. He scored an attacking 23 off 22 balls, comprising three fours and a six.

Earlier on Monday, Bharat, while talking to mediapersons, said: “I enjoyed whatever I did in Delhi. My job was to keep it simple. You just need to back your defence, the wickets are not unplayable. You apply yourself, back your defence and there is definitely scope for batters to score.”
Bharat has a tough job of keeping wickets with the skilfull Ashwin and Jadeja in operation.
“They are top-class spinners. It is not easy keeping but keeping in domestic cricket all these years has helped.”
Having been part of the Test side for the past 12 months, Bharat finally got to make his debut in the ongoing series with Rishabh Pant recovering from the injuries he sustained during a car accident in December.
