The penultimate day of Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow ended on Saturday, with Indiaplaced fourth on the medal table.
The country has won 39 medals so far, comprising 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze.
India added 16 medals – eight gold, five silver, three bronze – on the 10th day of the quadrennial event. Boxers Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary, Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal, and para shot putter Soman Rana clinched gold medals,
Boxers Jadumani Singh, Lovlina Borgohain and Narender Berwal, triple jumper Praveen Chithravel and para shot putter Shubham Juyal won silver medals.
Bronze medallists were Gulveer Singh (men’s 5000m), triple jumper Selva Prabhu Thirumaran and judoka Unnati Sharma.
