Reigning European champion Paris Saint-Germain offered an update on its Morocco right-back Achraf Hakimi’s fitness ahead of Sunday’s match against bitter rival Marseille in Ligue 1.
Hakimi had limped off the field late in the first half of PSG’s 1-0 win at Brest over the weekend, following what looked like a thigh injury.
But PSG said in a statement Monday that he only suffered “a minor right thigh strain.” The club added that Hakimi will undergo treatment over the next two days.
The defender has been a central figure in Luis Enrique’s PSG side, which has dominated European football, winning back-to-back Champions League title. Hakimi was recently named in the shortlist for Ballon d’Or 2026.
