East Bengal and Mohun Bagan shared the Kolkata derby’s bragging rights after an exciting 1-1 draw in the Calcutta Football League 2026 at the Barasat Stadium on Monday.
Both teams had already secured their passage to the Super Six stage of the tournament from Group A, along with Bhawanipore Club.
It was Indian Super League regular Manvir Singh who broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before substitute Mohamed Bilal’s header in the 64th minute secured a point for the Red and Gold Brigade.

The Mariners started with several first-team players, apart from Manvir, including captain Subhasish Bose, Sahal Abdul Samad, and Apuia. On the other hand, East Bengal stuck with its reserve-team players.
The last time the two sides met in the CFL was last year, when East Bengal came away with a 3-2 win against the Mariners.
