EBFC 0-0 PFC FC LIVE score: Gill keeps East Bengal alive against Punjab FC; ISL updates | ACTPnews

Despite having the chance to pile pressure on arch-rival Mohun Bagan, East Bengal has not looked like its usual self against a spirited Punjab side.

The visitors dominated proceedings for most of the first half, coming the closest with Dani Ramirez striking the post with an effort from outside the box. East Bengal has also been aggressive and sloppy with its challenges, racking up three yellow cards already.

A booking for captain Souvik left Oscar Bruzon with no choice but to sub him off just 22 minutes into the game, keeping in mind the crucial upcoming clash against Mohun Bagan over the weekend.

Anything short of a win will leave East Bengal’s title hopes in the hands of Mohun Bagan, which is currently one point behind with a game in hand.
