elcome to Sportstar’s live coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 encounter between England and Croatia at the Dallas Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides meet each other for the first time in the quadrennial event since the 2018 World Cup semifinal when the Balkan side broke English hearts with Mario Mandzukic scoring an extra-time winner.
After coming close twice under Gareth Southgate, England have put its chips on German coach Thomas Tuchel to help the side win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.
Croatia enjoyed two successful campaigns in 2018 and 2022 but finds itself in the middle of a transition period with senior players Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Ivan Perisic coming to the twilight of their careers.
