Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is likely to make his Durand Cup debut with Mumbay FC when the team plays its final group-stage match in the 2026 edition against Nongkseh SS & CC on August 11.
Shroff, who made his Bollywood debut through Heropanti in 2014, was named part of the Mumbai-based team earlier this month.
Mumbay will play all of its group-stage fixtures at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, and has arrived in the city ahead of its campaign opener against Langsning FC on August 3.
Zoheb Khan, Mumbai FC Technical Director, confirmed to Sportstar that Shroff is likely to take the field in the team’s third match against the Shillong-based club.
“Talks are still on regarding security arrangements, and we met the Deputy Chief Minister. We’ll get a confirmation soon,” Zoheb said.

The 2026 edition of the Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, is being played across five cities: Kolkata, Ranchi, Guwahati, Imphal and Shillong.
The Shillong leg kicked off on Friday, with Shillong Lajong taking on Nongkseh in front of an 11,233-strong crowd. Lajong won the match 2-0.
John Abraham, actor and co-owner of defending champion NorthEast United FC, was also present.
“There won’t be anything special for security. It will be the usual provisions which the Army provides,” the organisers told this publication.
