West Indies has added Amir Jangoo to its T20I squad for the five-match series against India as a cover for the injured Jewel Andrew.
Andrew suffered a finger injury during the third ODI against India on October 3, while completing the catch of Naman Dhir.
The wicketkeeper-batter was taken up for a scan, which revealed no fracture. Andrew missed out on West Indies’ batting effort, which saw the side complete a record chase.
He will now remain under observation by the West Indies medical team and is not ruled out of the T20I series.
Jangoo has already represented West Indies in seven T20Is and is in solid form, having scored two fifties and a hundred in the ODI series.
