Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma struck fifties to secure a thumping 90-run win for India over Zimbabwe in the second T20I at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday.
Kishan stabilised the innings after two early wickets and notched up 81 off 44. Tilak then provided the late flourish with his 29-ball 60, lifting India to an above-par 219 for five.
Yash Thakur and Prince Yadav nabbed two wickets each to restrict Zimbabwe to xx. India, however, would be sweating over the latter’s fitness, as he bowled just eight deliveries and hobbled off the field with a hamstring injury.
Shreyas Iyer relied on Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma to complete the overs and both combined for four wickets between them.
