What is India’s highest score in ODIs?

Centuries from Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan have put India in a commanding position and on track for a 400 plus total against Afghanistan in the second ODI in Lucknow on Wednesday.

If India manages to cross the 400-run mark, it will be the eighth time that the home side has managed to score more than 400 runs in an innings in the 50-over format.

India’s highest team total is 418/5, a feat it achieved in 2011 against West Indies in Indore, when Virender Sehwag blazed away to his maiden double century in ODIs.

The Men in Blue’s second highest team total is 414/7 against Sri Lanka in 2009 in Rajkot, once again powered by a Virender Sehwag century.

Overall, India’s 418 is the 12th highest team total in ODIS across all teams, eleven places behind England’s 498/4 against Netherlands in 2022 which is currently the highest team total in an ODI.
