Youri Tielemans was brought down in the penalty area in the closing moments of the second half of extra-time during Belgium’s Round of 32 match against Senegal in Seattle on Wednesday.
The midfielder was approaching the ball after a cross from the left wing in the 117th minute, when Lamine Camara hit Tielemans on the foot and brought him down.
Though the penalty was not given on the field, the VAR got the decision overturned.
Tielemans, however, remained calm amid protests from Senegal players, took the spot kick and scored the winning goal.
