India’s 4x400m women’s relay team advanced to the final on the fourth day of the ongoing World Athletics Under-20 Championships 2026 in Oregon on Saturday.
The quartet of Bhoomika Nehate, Tahura Khatun, Tanu Chaudhary, and Thiya Arumugam finished third in Heat 1 to earn direct qualification into the medal round. The top three teams in each heat advance to the summit round.
The Indian team clocked 3:39.53 and finished behind the United States (3:32.66) and Australia (3:33.68).
Earlier in the day, Nitin Gupta finished sixth in the men’s 5000m race walk final with a timing of 19:32.30.
Later in the day, there will be other Indians in action in their respective finals — Basant (men’s high jump), and long jumpers Shahnavaz Khan and Jithin Arjunan Raman in the men’s medal round.
