India tour of Ireland and England - Suryansh Shedge replaces injured Nitish Kumar Reddy in T20I squad

Shedge, 23, was part of the India A squad that won the recent 50-over tri-series against Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A in Sri Lanka.

Batting in the lower-middle order, he scored 147 runs at a strike rate of 120.49, and also bowled 23 overs across five innings, taking two wickets with his medium pace at an economy of 6.04. Reddy was ruled out of the tour with a left quadriceps injury that he aggravated during last week’s third ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai. He will undergo his rehab at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for at least a month, with a view to being ready for the two-Test tour of Sri Lanka in August.
