Indian women’s football team winger Manisha Kalyan has signed for Greek side AEK Athens, the club announced on Saturday.
She joins from Peruvian side Alianza Lima Femenino, with AEK becoming the fourth overseas team of the 24-year-old’s career.
After playing for Sethu FC and Gokulam Kerala, Manisha joined Cypriot club Apollon Ladies FC in 2022. She became the first Indian footballer to compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and scored 16 goals in 46 matches for the club.
In 2024, she moved to PAOK, recording eight goals and five assists in 23 appearances.
Manisha has also been a mainstay in the national team since her debut in 2019, finding the back of the net 15 times in 53 appearances, which includes a stunning strike against Chinese Taipei in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup earlier this year.
